These protocols were developed in accordance with CDC and WorkSafeBC guidelines. Due to appointment restrictions, spatial distancing requirements and extra cleaning protocols, we are limited by how many appointments we can see in a day. We are working very hard to accommodate and see as many patients as safely possible. Thank you for your continued patience and support.
We are currently accepting clients in our clinic with their pet(s), under the following conditions.
*Limit ONE client per appointment
*Masks are mandatory while visiting our office. Please bring your own mask during your appointment. If you do not have your own mask, we will provide you with one upon entry
What to expect when you arrive at Port Moody Animal Hosital
- Upon entry, hand sanitizer will be available for your use.
- You will be guided to the appointment room.
- During the appointment, we ask that you remain behind the line of stickers on the floor in order to respect the 2 metre spatial distancing requirements.
- The doctor will talk with you in the appointment room and gather all pertinent information about your pet.
- The doctor and assistant will then examine your pet in the treatment area, just outside the exam room.
Methods of payment
We will continue to accept Visa, Mastercard, and debit. We do not currently accept cash or cheques.
If you or any of your household members are feeling unwell, we are unable to see your pet physically at this time. Please call us to discuss other options if your pet is very ill and needs medical attention.
Please understand that our staff are working extremely hard to provide these services to you in a timely fashion. We appreciate your patience and thank you for entrusting us with the care of your pets. As the COVID-19 situation continues to evolve, we will also adapt and change.
Maintaining the health of our employees means we can continue to serve you and provide care to our companion animals. At PMAH we perform daily health assessments before the start of every shift, have a strict mask policy and practice spatial distancing whenever possible. We also have guidelines for COVID-positive employees or when someone needs to stay home.
We are a healthcare facility and as such, we already have excellent cleaning and disinfectant standards. But as we all work to reduce sources of community transmission, we have implemented new policies for cleaning surfaces throughout the hospital. Surfaces such as floors, door handles and countertops are further cleaned with anti-viral disinfectants at multiple, scheduled points throughout the day.
